You wake up in pitch-black darkness. You feel dizzy, and like you can't think straight. You don't know where you are, don't remember what happened before, and you're scared. [[Observe your surroundings]]

You try to fill your lungs, but you can't breathe. You start to panic. What nightmare is this? [[interacting with your environment<-...]]

You try to kick at the darkness in front of you, and you hit something soft and squishy! In response, you hear a sharp moan, and a grumble, like from a big animal. [[Decide to be more careful]] [[Try to make contact again]]

You stretch your arms to the sides, but there's nothing there except for wet walls, which are uncomfortably close. You touch your torso and your legs, and you realize that you're naked. You feel helpless and alone. [[interacting with your environment<-...]]

This must be a dream! You pinch your eyes together, then open them wide again, expecting to find yourself in bed, in a familiar room. But again, there is this almost-black darkness all around you. [[Try to sleep]]

Suddenly, your surroundings seem to shift. You feel like falling backwards, but you don't hit the floor, but seem to float in mid-air. Then, the space around you starts closing in, and firmly presses on your arms and legs from all sides. Then you start feeling the contractions. You're slowly pushed forwards, further and further, until suddenly, your surroundings open up. An impossibly bright light shines in your face, and it's getting really cold. But you're glad that you're finally out of the dark. You wiggle your legs and arms - there seems to be room in all directions. You think this is a good change, and it feels nice to have more room to move and to grow. You were, after all, running ouf of space. [[Thanks for playing!<-Fin]]

It's probably best not to make that animal angry. For a while, you try to be as still as you can, and you hope that it cannot see in the dark. [[interacting with your environment<-...]]

Carefully, you extend your arms and reach out for the animal. It feels warm, smooth, and slimy, and seems to be breathing very slowly. You can't feel where it ends – it must be gigantic! Shuddering, you pull back, and try to turn around, but some force is holding you in place. [[interacting with your environment<-...]]

But as soon as you try to focus on it, the color seems to shift to nothingness again.<</linkreplace>> <<linkreplace "Focus on what you hear" t8n>>There's a pattern of low-pitched vibrations surrounding you. Now that you've noticed it, you find it really unnverving. Besides those vibrations, you now can hear people talking, but you don't understand what they're saying. They sound like they are behind a thick wall. Even if you could hear them more clearly, you realize that you would not understand their language. It's like you hear this language for the first time, and you've never learned to use it. Now you hear laughter.
